Bracelet care

Bracelet sizing

A bracelet should move freely without sliding over your hand. We shorten tennis bracelets and chains, add extenders, and adjust bangles at our bench in the store.

How we size bracelets

  • Removing links from tennis bracelets
  • Shortening chain bracelets
  • Adding extenders
  • Adjusting cuffs
  • Sizing hinged bangles
  • Keeping removed stones for you

Good to know

Getting the size right

Measure
Measure your wrist just above the bone, then add half an inch for a snug fit or an inch for a looser drape
Tennis bracelets
A little room lets the stones sit flat on top of the wrist
Solid bangles
These can't be made smaller easily, so we size them to your knuckles before you buy

How it works

From drop-off to pickup

  1. 1

    Measure

We measure your wrist and check how you like it to fit.

  2. 2

    Adjust

Links are removed or added, or the clasp is rebuilt, at our bench.

  3. 3

    Check

Every clasp and safety latch is tested before it goes home.

A master jeweler at our own bench

Mario has more than 32 years at the bench and works right here in the store. We're one of the few jewelers in Clearwater doing repairs on site, so most work is done right here.

Something else on your mind? Ask us

What happens to the diamonds you remove?

They're yours. We give them back, and they can be added back later if you need a longer bracelet.

Can you make a bracelet longer?

Chains can take an extender. Tennis bracelets can be lengthened with matching links if you have the stones.
