Round engagement rings

The round brilliant is cut for the most sparkle a diamond can have. It suits every setting, and it's the shape most engagement rings are made around.

The round cut

What to know about round diamonds

How it's cut
Brilliant, with 57 or 58 facets arranged to return as much light as possible
Length to width
1.00 to 1.02. A round should look perfectly circular
How it looks
The brightest of all shapes, with lively flashes of white and color
What to watch for
Cut grade matters most. Choose Excellent or Ideal and the stone will outshine a larger, poorly cut one

Something else on your mind? Ask us

Why do round diamonds cost more per carat?

Cutting a round loses more of the rough crystal than most shapes, and it's the shape most people want. Both push the price up.

What cut grade should I choose?

Excellent from GIA or Ideal from other labs. Cut drives a round's sparkle more than color or clarity.

Do you have natural and lab-grown diamonds?

Both. We'll quote them side by side in the same shape and size so you can compare.

Can I see the ring before it's made?

Yes. You'll approve a CAD rendering or a wax model before anything is cast.
