When it goes to the maker
Some brands and some repairs need the manufacturer's own service center and parts. When that's the case we'll tell you up front, send the watch for you, and keep you posted until it's back.
Keeping a watch healthy
- Mechanical watches
- Most makers suggest an overhaul every five to ten years
- Quartz watches
- Change the battery as soon as it stops, so it can't leak
- Water resistance
- Have it tested yearly if you swim with it, and after any battery change
- Bracelets
- Clean them with warm soapy water and a soft brush to keep links moving freely
How long does a battery change take?
Most batteries are done while you wait.
