Buying guide
Pairing a band with your ring
- Match the metal
- The same metal wears evenly. Mixed metals look lovely but rub at different rates
- Match the width
- A band about as wide as your engagement ring's shank looks the most balanced
- Check the gap
- Low-set stones and halos often need a curved band to sit flush
- Think about stacking
- Leave room for an anniversary band later, and size for all of them together

Fit
Fitted to your finger and your engagement ring
Bring your engagement ring to the fitting. We'll size the band to your finger and check that the two sit flush. If the center stone sits low, we'll make a contoured band that curves around it.
Custom and matched bands are made in our Clearwater workshop, usually within two to three weeks of your approval.
Should my band match my engagement ring's metal?
It's a good idea. Two different metals worn together will slowly wear each other down, and the harder one wins. If you love the mixed look, we'll talk you through which pairings hold up best.
Will a straight band sit flush against my engagement ring?
It depends on how low the center stone sits. Bring your ring in and we'll check. If there's a gap, a curved or contoured band will close it.
Can eternity bands be resized?
Usually not, because there's no plain metal to cut. That's why we size eternity bands carefully in the showroom before we order or make one.
Can you solder my engagement ring and band together?
Yes. Soldering keeps the two rings aligned and stops them from rubbing. It's done at our bench and can be undone later if you need it.
Can you engrave inside the band?
Yes. Add a date, initials, or a few words. Ask at your fitting.
