Earrings sit against skin and hair all day, so the backs of the stones and the posts collect more than you'd think. We'll clean them properly and check every post, back, and prong. It's free for earrings bought here.

Cleaning and inspection are free for jewelry bought at New York Diamond Center. For other pieces there's a small fee.

We choose the method by stone. Diamonds and sapphires can take a deep clean, while softer gems get a gentler hand.

We check prongs, posts, clasps, and settings under magnification.

A master jeweler at our own bench
Mario has more than 32 years at the bench and works right here in the store. We're one of the few jewelers in Clearwater doing repairs on site, so most work is done right here.
How do I clean earrings at home?
Soak them in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, brush gently behind the stones, rinse, and dry. Don't use toothpaste, which scratches gold.
Is cleaning free?
It's free for earrings you bought here, with a small fee for other pieces.
