Earring care
Earring repair
Bent posts, worn backs, loose stones, broken hoop clicks, and lost earrings matched. We repair them at our bench in the store, and most simple jobs are done the same day.

Earring repair
Repairs we make to earrings
- Replacing bent or broken posts
- Upgrading to screw or locking backs
- Fixing hoop hinges and clicks
- Tightening and replacing stones
- Converting clip-ons to posts
- Matching a lost earring
Good to know
Signs earrings need repair
- A bent post
- Straightening weakens it. A new post is the safer fix
- A loose back
- A worn friction back can let a stud fall out. Upgrade to screw or locking backs
- A hoop that won't click
- The catch is worn and can open on its own
- A stone that moves
- Stop wearing them until the prongs are tightened

A master jeweler at our own bench
Mario has more than 32 years at the bench and works right here in the store. We're one of the few jewelers in Clearwater doing repairs on site, so most work is done right here.
Can you match an earring I lost?
Often, yes. Bring the one you have and our gemologist will look for a matching stone, or we'll make a new pair.
Can you change clip-on earrings to posts?
Yes, in most cases. We'll look at how they're made and tell you what's possible.
