- A hinged post locks into a catch on the back, which suits larger hoops
- Endless
- A fine wire slides into the tube. Light and smooth, best for small plain hoops
- Lever back
- A hinged loop that closes behind the ear, common on hoops with a drop

Which earring backs are most secure?
Screw backs are the most secure and a good choice for larger studs. Friction backs are easiest to put on. La Pousse and other locking backs sit in between. We can change the backs on a pair you already own.
Are your earrings hypoallergenic?
Platinum and 18 karat gold are the best choices for sensitive ears. We can also swap a post for platinum or a higher karat gold.
